after hearing the views of Advocate General P. Léger,

makes the following

Order

1By application lodged at the Court Registry on 10 May 2006, the Republic of Finland, represented by E.Bygglin, acting as Agent, with an address for service in Luxembourg, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

2By application lodged at the Court Registry on 17 May 2006, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, represented by V. Jackson, acting as Agent, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the defendant.

3By application lodged at the Court Registry on 19 May 2006, the Portuguese Republic, represented by L. Fernandes, acting as Agent, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

4By application lodged at the Court Registry on 22 May 2006, the Kingdom of Norway, represented by I. Djupvik, G.K. Waage and K.Bøe Moen, acting as Agents, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

5By application lodged at the Court Registry on 22 May 2006, the Kingdom of Sweden, represented by A. Kruse, A. Falk and K.Wistrand, acting as Agents, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

6By application lodged at the Court Registry on 26 May 2006, the Kingdom of Denmark, represented by J. Molde, acting as Agent, with an address for service in Luxembourg, applied for leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

7The applications to intervene were made in accordance with Article 93(1) of the Rules of Procedure, and were lodged under the first paragraph of Article 40 of the Statute of the Court of Justice.

On those grounds, the President of the Court orders:

1.The Republic of Finland, the Portuguese Republic, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden and the Kingdom of Denmark are granted leave to intervene in Case C‑14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the applicant.

2.The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is granted leave to intervene in Case C-14/06 in support of the form of order sought by the defendant.

3.A period shall be prescribed within which the interveners must state, in writing, the pleas relied on in support of the forms of order which they seek.

4.The Registrar shall serve on the interveners a copy of every document served on the parties.

5.The costs are reserved.
