REASONS FOR THE DECISION
Introduction
This is an appeal to the Upper Tribunal against a decision of the First-tier Tribunal (“the Tribunal”) dated 18 July 2022 that the Responsible Body for School T (“the Appellant”) discriminated against child ‘A’ contrary to section 15 of the Equality Act 2010 when it decided not to provide on-site education to him from 03 February 2021 onwards.
The Respondents are the parents of child A.
Background Summary
The essential background to this matter is that at the time of the hearing before the Tribunal, A was 14 years old. He has had a diagnosis of Autism since he was 4 years old.
