Histrionic Personality Disorder
: A personality disorder characterised by a pervasive pattern of attention seeking and excessive emotionality. It is characterised by a person who engages in attention seeking, theatrical and/or inappropriately seductive behaviour. Such individuals can be lively, dramatic and flirtatious. They can express strong emotions with an impressionistic style, can be easily influenced by others, exaggerate their behaviours and emotions and crave stimulation. Associated features can include egocentrism, self-indulgence, continuous longing for appreciation and persistent manipulative behaviours to achieve their own needs;IPDE: International Personality Disorder Examination.
