Factual history caution

I am conscious that having not heard oral evidence about the history outlined above, and the various allegations and counter allegations, I must be cautious not to accept without reservation the unfiltered/unchallenged written evidence. However, it seems to me that for the most part the history speaks for itself, even if specific allegations have not been the subject of formal findings. As for G’s views, these are substantiated by direct evidence (messages, letters and the like) of what G has been saying, coupled with reports from her US school and the US police. It is clear she said these things even if, for example, the allegations she makes against her father have not been subject to close scrutiny. The Guardian has assessed her views independently, and neither parent disputes the essence of what G wishes.
