During the hearing, it became apparent that the sum of money involved in the dispute may be small and it appeared to me that there may have been some misunderstanding as to this (and possibly other) issues. I strongly encourage the parties to consider further some form of Alternative Dispute Resolution. The alternative is to search for and produce further documentary evidence, which may be burdensome, and then to embark on the road to a trial involving, it appears, both fact and expert evidence with all the distraction, uncertainty and costs (both financial and other) entailed.
