I will continue to refer to Mr Brown as “the Appellant”, and to Mr and Mrs Ridley as “the Respondents”. It should be kept in mind that the Respondents, who made the original application to the Land Registry on 20^th December 2019, were the applicants in the First-tier Tribunal (“the FTT”), with Mr Brown as the respondent.

In this decision references to Paragraphs are, unless otherwise indicated, references to the paragraphs of the Decision. I will refer to the Land Registration Act 2002 as “the 2002 Act”. References to Sections and Schedules are, unless otherwise indicated, references to the Sections of and Schedules to the 2002 Act.
