This is an appeal from a rent repayment order made by the First-tier Tribunal (“the FTT”) against the appellant Mr Barker. He was represented by Mr Julian Hunt of counsel, who also appeared before the FTT, and I am grateful to him. The respondent Ms Shokar filed a respondent’s notice and grounds of opposition, but shortly before the hearing withdrew from participation in the appeal.
