On behalf of the Defendants, two witness statements were submitted by Mr Hill, and two by the Defendants’ former solicitor, Ms Lindsay Gledhill. On behalf of Mrs Lish, I received one witness statement from Mrs Lish, and three from her solicitor, Ms Kelly Hudson. I remarked at the hearing that much of the solicitors’ witness statements was submission and I would treat it as such. There was also significant repetition of what Mr Hill and Mrs Lish had said in their statements: this was unnecessary. Something does not become more likely to be true by having a legal practitioner repeat it.
