Although URE supplied electricity from the start date of 1^st October 2017, the start of the planned rollout of AMR meters was delayed while URE put funding in place for their purchase and while decisions were made as to the type of meters which should be installed. In the event the rollout did not begin in earnest until June 2018. When it did, URE encountered significant problems because Genesis’s site managers did not engage with the process, which meant that it proved impossible to arrange appointments for the installation of the new meters.
