The policy guidance on DL was published in June 2013 and has been updated on numerous occasions since then. The DLP version 10 was published on 16 March 2023 and the section on modern slavery and human trafficking cases was updated to implement caselaw (KTT).

The policy guidance on VTS was first published on 30 January 2023 and VTSP version 3 was published on 8 June 2023. The relevant versions of both policies, DLP and VTSP, post-date the coming into force of sections 63 and 65 of NABA 2022 on 30 January 2023.
